Problem
1. Most of the time data project treated just as technical project without considetin overall factors.
Like many, started my career as developer. And later taking up more senior roles. Given opportunities to play wider role like project and program manager to roll out data related project.
Started the project & program manager role with excitement. Drilled through all the technical details & prepared the solution proposal. And presented the technical solution to higher management. Guess what, rejected with bombarded questions like, scalability, roles and responsibility of project stake holders, long term roadmap, sustanabilty, returrn of investment, etc.
The experience make me to realise, any IT or data project is not just about technical details but more than that. Organisations heaveily rely on data, and such projects becoming organisationl strategic project. And the person who handling the project or program needs to approach the topic from tactical plus overall strategy in mind.
2. Scattered & Underscored digital profile
Few years back attended a data related networking session. And had a chance exchange opinion and idea with few enthousiast. And they prompt me “Your thoughts are worth sharing, do you write any blogs?”. And that leads me to start write micro blogs in well know career platform and software house(SAP, Microsoft, etc) specific communities. And feel good about it.
In another case, during one of a interview session, I been sharing about my comntibution to multiple platforms & communituies. The interview seems to be interested to look at the contibutions. And I been passing to him multiple link from different sides. And he prompted, the write ups are impressive but will be better if can be organised into a single place and will be even better if can see your "digital profile" in one single location...
Both the event make me to reflect, on this 2 area
- Educate community to approach IT project not just from technical angle, AND
- A way to consolidate for all the contribution of a IT enthousiast in one single location..

The thought process with some effort bring us today. To this website, to this club..
